美国东岸本周末遭受强烈东北风暴（nor'easter）吹袭，一度导致超过10万户停电，逾400班航班取消。

路透社报道，截至9月26日下午1时7分，新泽西（New Jersey）、康涅狄格（Connecticut）、纽约（New York）及宾夕法尼亚（Pennsylvania）仍有逾88,000户停电，较早前逾119,000户回落。

其中康涅狄格、新泽西及纽约各逾25,000户停电，包括PSEG Long Island约13,300户。该公司称风暴导致树木、树枝及电线倒塌，自周五早上已恢复逾34,600户供电。

航班追踪网站FlightAware指，26日约425班涉及美国机场的航班取消，1,338班延误。

美国国家气象局（National Weather Service）警告，强烈东北风暴将为大西洋中部及新英格兰地区带来沿海洪水、激流、强风及暴雨，持续至28日。

纽约及新泽西州长25日宣布受影响最严重的县进入紧急状态，包括纽约市；康涅狄格州长则启动州紧急行动中心。
