在18年来教宗首次对法国展开正式访问的第2天，全世界14亿天主教徒的领袖良十四世今天在巴黎主持大型露天弥撒，带领在协和广场及毗邻香榭丽舍大道参与的数十万信徒一同祈祷。

法新社报导，良十四世（Pope Leo XIV）在主持露天弥撒前，搭乘教宗座驾行经法国首都著名的香榭丽舍大道（Champs Elysees），沿途受到信徒热烈的欢呼。梵蒂冈表示，约有70万人参与。

人潮横跨巴黎市中心，从协和广场（Place de la Concorde）一路延伸2.2公里至凯旋门，信徒挥舞着白黄相间的旗帜，紧贴著安检围栏，只为一睹教宗风采。

当教宗座驾行经时，“教宗万岁”（Long live the Pope）的欢呼声在林荫大道上回荡。教宗座驾频频暂停，良十四世为志工带向前的婴孩、儿童和身心障碍人士祈福。
