House Subpoenas BIR and COA Chiefs in Sara Duterte Impeachment Case

The Philippine House Committee on Justice has issued subpoenas to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Commission on Audit (COA) to secure the financial records and confidential fund liquidation reports of Vice President Sara Duterte. The legislative panel is seeking to authenticate documents related to the 2022 and 2023 confidential fund spending as part of the broader impeachment proceedings. BIR Commissioner Charlito Martin Mendoza was specifically ordered to provide tax records for the Vice President and her husband.
