Billerica Police Sever Ties with Union Vendor After Death Threats to Business Owner

The Billerica Police Department is ending its relationship with a fundraising vendor for the patrol officer’s union following reports of aggressive and threatening solicitation tactics. A local business owner alleged that solicitors harassed him with repeated calls and eventually escalated to death threats against him and his wife after he declined to donate. Chief Roy Frost condemned the actions, stating that aggressive fundraising tactics at the expense of local business owners "have no place in our community."
