75 years later, Phototronics to shutter

After serving the Village of Winnetka since 1951, the 75-year-old photography and video service shop Phototronics will permanently shutter its doors on April 30. Despite successfully pivoting into digital archiving and restoration over the last decade, the business has succumbed to the industry-wide decline of film photography and the universal adoption of smartphone cameras.
