Indiana awards $180 million for rural road and bridge infrastructure

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has awarded nearly $180 million in federal funding to 50 rural communities for infrastructure improvements. The majority of the grants will be used to rehabilitate or replace 49 local bridges rated in poor condition, with the remainder supporting pavement resurfacing and safety projects. Local communities must provide a 20% match to receive the federal investment.
