Suspect in Brown Mass Shooting and MIT Professor Murder Found Dead

A week of terror that gripped two of the nation’s most prestigious Ivy League and research institutions came to a grim conclusion Thursday night. Authorities confirmed that the man suspected of carrying out a mass shooting at Brown University and the targeted assassination of an MIT professor was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound inside a New Hampshire storage unit. The suspect has been identified as Claudio Manuel Neves-Valente, 48, a Portuguese national and former graduate student at Brown University.
