据美联社等媒体今天（11月6日）报道，英国哈里王子的妻子、萨塞克斯公爵夫人梅根·马克尔的父亲老托马斯·马克尔，已在美国佛罗里达州被美国联邦调查局（FBI）逮捕，罪名与持有儿童性虐待影像资料有关。

据悉，菲律宾警方也在对他展开调查，指控他在住所内藏有涉及儿童性虐待的影像资料。上周，菲律宾一家法院向警方签发搜查令，授权对包括电子设备与硬盘在内的相关设备进行查验。这些物证由老托马斯之子、小托马斯·马克尔交给警方。

老托马斯·马克尔否认全部指控。他在接连中风后，曾于2025年移居菲律宾。小托马斯·马克尔指称，他在父亲位于菲律宾的居所内发现了一批影像资料，并于今年7月联系了美国联邦调查局。

老托马斯·马克尔目前住在佛罗里达州一家康复中心。
