在法国爆发全国骚乱之际，巴黎郊外10月23日发生一宗枪击案，一名男子开车沿街对人群随机开枪，造成至少一人死亡、四人受伤，伤者中包括一名12岁女孩。目前，疑犯已被警方拘捕。法国内政部长努涅斯（Laurent Nuñez）指，事件显然是恐怖主义罪行。

巴黎西部特拉普镇（Trappes）镇长Ali Rabeh称，抢手在车里，沿特拉普至拉韦里耶尔（La Verrière）的公路移动射击，“似乎是在随意射击，而且似乎意图进行一场大屠杀”。
