1月18日，71岁的白俄罗斯总统卢卡申科浸入洗礼池的冰水中进行沐浴。据悉，19日为东正教传统节日主显节，东正教信徒通常通过这一传统仪式庆祝该节日。

当天室外温度达到-15°C。

参考消息网1月19日报道 据俄罗斯卫星社1月19日报道，俄罗斯总统新闻秘书佩斯科夫表示，俄罗斯总统普京按照传统浸入冰窟进行了洗礼。

报道说，有记者提问，普京如何庆祝主显节。佩斯科夫回答称：“与每年一样，弗拉基米尔·普京按照传统进行了洗礼。”

1月19日，俄罗斯东正教庆祝主显节（又称洗礼节）。东正教徒在这一天纪念耶稣在约旦河接受洗礼。每日祈祷从前夜开始，因此教徒们从1月18日，也就是主显节前夕的晚祷开始迎接这一节日。
